Section 7.12 Contribution Plan 

Council wishes to advise that at the February Council Meeting the Section 7.12 Contribution Plan 2021 was adopted and will come into effect on the 24 February 2021. As a consequence, the Section 7.12 Contribution Plan 2018 will be replaced. The intent of the new plan is to ensure that only contributions gathered from development in the Goldridge Estate will contribute to the infrastructure of that Estate, while all other contributions will go towards Shire wide infrastructure.

Forbes Shire Council is in receipt of an application under its Economic Development Incentive for Residential Development Policy. In accordance with s. 356(2) of the Local Government Act 1993, Council places on public exhibition the following proposed resolution:

"That Council in relation to the development of Lot: 38 DP: 1198447 and in accordance with Council's Economic Development Incentive for Residential Development Policy, provide to the owner of AN 2102866 financial assistance in the form of deferred payment of water and sewer headwords charges to the value of $12,238.00" Comments should be submitted in writing to the General Manager by 5:00pm Friday 26 March 2021. Forbes Shire Council is in receipt of an application under its Economic Development Incentive for Residential Development Policy. In accordance with s. 356(2) of the Local Government Act 1993, Council places on public exhibition the following proposed resolution:

"That Council in relation to the development of Lot 1148 DP 750158 and in accordance with Council's Economic Development Incentive for Residential Development Policy, provide to the owner of AN 2048139" (a) financial assistance in the form of deferred payment of water and sewer headwords charges to the value of $12,238.00; and (b) provide private works costs at the value of $44,325.40 at an interest rate of 5% per annum." Council’s Section 355 Tree Committee -  Nominations Open

Council is calling for nominations from Forbes residents to become a volunteer member of its Section 355 Tree Committee whose purpose is to provide advice to Council on management of trees in urban and parkland settings.  If you have a background and/or qualification in the field of tree preservation or assessment, Council invites you to nominate yourself as a community representative on this committee. It is anticipated that the Committee will have 3 community members as well as 3 employees and 1 councillor. The duration of the voluntary tenure will be two (2) years or until such time as revoked by Council.
