In accordance with s. 252 of the Local Government Act 2003, Council places for public exhibition proposed amendments to its Councillors Expenses and Facilities Policy.

Submissions can be made to The General Manager, PO Box 333, Forbes NSW 2871, delivered to Council’s administration office at 2 Court Street, Forbes, or via email to forbes@forbes.nsw.gov.au until 5pm Friday 21 October 2022. Defibrillator Consultation - Forbes CBD 
Council is seeking input from the community regarding preferred location for defibrillators in the CBD. Council is requesting ideas to be submitted by Friday 14 October to be reported to Council's October Meeting.

Sporting Field Masterplans  At the August 2022  meeting,  Council resolved to place the Draft Sporting Field Masterplans on public exhibition for 28 days from 20 September 2022 to the 17 October 2022. 

These masterplans have been developed in accordance with the Recreation and Open Space Strategy. 

Public Exhibition Closes: 17 October 2022. 

Council also has scheduled drop in sessions at the Forbes Town Hall on the following dates and times: 

Wednesday 28 September - 3pm-5pm 
Thursday 6 October - 12pm-2pm 
Tuesday 11 October - 3pm-5pm

Naming of Public Road

NOTICE is hereby given that Forbes Shire Council, in pursuance of Section 162 of the Roads Regulation 2008, proposes to rename the road as shown hereunder:

Present Name:           DOWLING LANE (from Johnson Street to Union Street) being 285 metres in length in the locality of Forbes

Proposed Name:        BREWERY LANE

Any person may lodge with Council a written objection to the proposed names which must be received by Council on or before 5.00pm on Friday 30 September 2022. Any such objection should set out fully the reasons for the objection.   This should be forwarded to by:

Council is requesting information, anecdotes, stories and images from past flood, as well as the completion of the Forbes Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan Survey

The study aims to build community resilience towards flooding through informing better planning of development, emergency management and community awareness.

This survey has been extended until 5pm, 11 November 2022.
