Pitt Stop Park

The Pitt Stop Corner project involved the revitalisation of the site located at the corner of Lachlan Street and Rankin Street, previously occupied by the Pitt Stop Café. The area has now been transformed into an inviting public space.

The upgrade consisted of demolition of the existing cafe and converted the open space into a small, landscaped nature area featuring a new amenities block, improving both functionality and visual appeal for residents and visitors.

This project was funded by Building Better Regions Fund ($350,000) and Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program 3 ($924,540)

Construction commenced in February 2023 and was completed in June 2024.

Council is now in the design phase for the addition of a children’s playground within the upgraded space and is actively seeking further grant funding to support this next stage of the project.
