COVID-19 Emergency

In line with current advice from the federal and state governments, the following Forbes Shire facilities are temporarily closed:

  • Forbes Olympic Pool
  • Some toilet facilities are closed. The following public toilets remain open and accessible in town:
    • Lawler Street (Woolworths carpark)
    • Albion Park
    • Apex Lakeside 
    • Lions Park
    • Victoria Park
    • Railway – toilets only not the Visitor Information Centre
    • Dreaming Centre – 1 toilet only unisex – disability
    • Rotaract – Waterpark precinct – 1 toilet only

Service Changes

The following Council services have been impacted die to COVID-19:

  • Town Hall Administration Office is open to the public with a limit of 3 persons in the Foyer area
  • Central West Livestock Exchange continues to operate under strict new conditions.
  • Council events have been cancelled or postponed until further notice
Covid-19 Safety Plans

In accordance with Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 4) 2020, the following facilities are required to operate under a Covid-19 Safety Plan, and Conditions of Entry.

It will be answered by Forbes Shire Council staff between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday and they will direct you to the relevant services.
