Cr Graeme Miller
I have lived in Forbes my entire life and very proud to still call Forbes home. My childhood was spent growing up on farm, and helping my parents on their mixed farm property. When the time was right to leave, I bought the farm just across the road, and with my wife and two children we too were mixed farmers. It was this start in life that led me to be a part of the Forbes Show Society committee and the Saleyards Committee which was involved in moving the Central West Livestock Exchange to its new, impressive location that it sits on today. I am very passionate about keeping the agriculture industry alive and well in our area.
I have served as a board member on numerous organisations including: Jemalong Aged Peoples Association (past owner/operator of Jemalong Retirement Village and Jemalong Residential Village); Parkes/Forbes Community Housing which caters for people in social housing; Lachlan Health Council contributing to the development of the Forbes Hospital; and Australian Livestock Marketing Association. I'm very interested in helping people and giving them a hand in life, to see them move forward. These are the things that makes a great community and I love that about Forbes, our community spirit.
I do have a passion for classic cars, coin collecting, gardening and love
nothing more than spoiling my grandchildren.
Graeme was elected Mayor
