COVID-19 Restrictions at CWLE

Thanks again to all users of Forbes Central West Livestock Exchange for their co-operation, as we continue to implement a number of measures for the safety of our users, employees and community whilst we work through the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis and the restrictions this has brought upon us.

New Restrictions from 15 June 2020

This is not a game… we are taking action to secure your business and industry.

National Cabinet met on Friday 8 May 2020 and determined the easing of some pandemic restrictions. Each State and Territory then determined their own roadmap in creating a COVID Safe Australia. The NSW Premier announced the relaxing of the following restrictions,  effective from Friday 15 May 2020.

Stage 1 restrictions will be enforced as of Monday 28th June and will remain in place until further notice.

Masks are mandatory for all people on site, at all times.

Access to site will be allowed for:

  • Essential saleyard staff
  • Essential agency staff and accredited agents
  • Commission buyers
  • Livestock transporters are permitted onsite to pick up and drop off livestock but are not permitted to attend sale

Access will not be granted for media, vendors or the general public.

Every person entering CWLE to attend a sale must complete and provide a signed COVID-19 Declaration, this will be required before each sale, and you need to have completed your induction. You will need to have printed off and filled out the declaration on the morning of sale, this will continue until further notice. We also ask that you download the Federal Government’s CovidSafe app to help with traceability.

If you are not essential to the sale, please stay at home. Livestock carriers are to leave site once unloaded, out loading carriers are to stay at their truck until loading is commenced, and certainly not attend the sale.

CANTEEN WILL BE OPEN FOR TAKEAWAY ONLY.

All persons are to leave site as soon as your business has concluded.

If you are have a cough and/or flu like symptoms or if you have been directed to self-isolate due to potential exposure to COVID-19 you are not to enter the Forbes Central West Livestock Exchange.

All persons are to maintain a 1.5m distance from others at all times, and practice safe hygiene (wash/disinfect hands, cover sneezes and coughs) to take responsibility for your own health and that of others.

Please find the CWLE Attendance form here (PDF 275.7KB). This must be filled out prior to attending the CWLE and submitted on arrival.
