Norma O'Hara Murphy - Live in Forbes

Multi-Golden Guitar winner Norma O’Hara Murphy will be performing her bush ballads live in Forbes. A dinner and show will be held at Forbes Services Memorial Club, 41-43 Templar St, Forbes on Sunday 4 October, beginning at 6:45pm. A Sunday roast dinner to top off this amazing night of entertainment.
Performing all her bushranger songs plus many more of her enjoyable music at the Ben Hall festival, Norma is excited to be returning to Forbes. Norma comments, “I fell in love with the place (Forbes) on my first visit, it is so full of history, such a wonderful wealth of lovely old buildings, old pubs, and of course some great people. I think the Ben Hall Festival is a brilliant idea, it is well and truly time we remember our country’s history, in their day, Ben Hall and his mates were wild young lads, but compared to what we see today, they are good boys!”

Come a day early for the Outlaw Spectacular on Saturday October 3 featuring live entertainment, music and performance, bushranger siege, poets, folk artists, historical exhibitions, kids shows, street theatre, tours and more. This event is set to celebrate the colourful history and folk traditions of the period. Norma O’Hara Murphy has written several songs featuring Ben Hall over the years; she has always had a passion for early Australian history. A well known track featuring Ben Hall is Fresh Horses, featured on Norma’s Album, Live in Bundaberg, and nominated at the Golden Guitar Awards.
Norma is a delightful storyteller, her songs are very real and this shows in her writing and her singing and with a new album on the way at the end of the year, Whisky Gully Road, featuring another Ben Hall song, all her fans are eagerly awaiting this release.
