New Wetlands
Work has begun to construct a wetland to improve the water quality of Lake Forbes by reducing sediment and nutrients entering the waterway at the Golf Club before reaching the Lake. The wetland is being constructed on land east of the Newell Highway opposite the O.G.S.Centre and will be similar to the one previously constructed on the Sheriff Street by-pass.
