This exhibition will enabled country and rural areas similar to Forbes to entice residents of the Sydney metropolitan area to relocate to Forbes. This years event proved to be a marvellous success with Council selling two blocks of land in its residential estate and still negotiating on a third with three separate parties. Several major industry and business enquiries are currently being investigated. If any of these come to fruition it could result in a significant employment boost for the community. Forbes Shire received terrific support from the local employment agencies where several skill employment opportunities were on offer. Contacts have been made directly to those agencies to follow up the enquiry. A large proportion of job opportunities were given out for the near by gold mine of Barrick Gold. Other areas that Council recieved enquries included: Registered nurses Solicitors Midwives Diesel mechanics Industry opportunties Engineering Teaching Chiropractic Heavy vehicle
