Garbage & Recycling Collection Routes

It is important to note that there has been a minor adjustment to the original garbage collection routes affecting ALL residents in William Street.

ALL collections in William Street will now occur on TUESDAY mornings.  Red-lid general waste bins will be collected every Tuesday morning and yellow-lid recycling bins are to be collected every second Tuesday, as per the fortnightly collection program.

The changes to this service effectively ensure that the entire street will have a uniformed Tuesday collection, ultimately removing the past requirement that dwellings between Oxford and Berkley Streets have a Monday service.

This minor alteration to the service is to become effective for the week beginning 20^th February 2006, with William Street collections to commence on the morning of Tuesday 21^st February.

The initial requirement to divide the collection in the street was based upon the recycling truck load sizes, however, after consultation with the contractors, it is envisaged that the entire street can now be serviced by the one truck.
