Central West Livestock Exchange

The Central West Livestock Exchanged officially opened in 2006 when the brand new $10.4 million dollar cattle auction facility was completed. This was followed with the opening of the $15 million dollar sheep auction facility in late 2010 and then in April 2012 the pig auction facility completed the project.

The Forbes Central West Livestock Exchange is a state of the art facility and proven choice for buying and selling premium quality cattle, sheep, lambs and pigs. The Forbes Central West Livestock Exchange offers buyers and sellers a modern, safe and fully maintained facility that is second to none.

CENTRAL WEST LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE INDUCTION

Forbes Shire Council is committed to providing a leadership role in the good management of work health and safety.

We are committed to the highest level of legislative compliance and pride ourselves being a fully compliant facility with National Heavy Vehicle Law - under Chain of Responsibility requirements.

The Central West Livestock Exchange is a Council worksite and we must ensure a safe and healthy environment for all saleyard users.

As part of that commitment, we require all users of the facility to undertake a WHS Site Induction to improve their own, and other users safety.

You can choose to use this online induction facility, or speak with staff at the Exchange for alternate options for completing the induction. Once you have completed the CWLE Site Induction, an Induction Card will be mailed out to you. Alternatively, you may choose to collect it from the Saleyard Supervisor's Office.
