Forbes Shire Council will soon begin conducting a series of short community surveys to get an understanding of how individuals feel about the services Council provides on a day to day basis. Classified as a Community Satisfaction Survey, calls will begin from Friday continuing through to Tuesday, taking no longer than 15 minutes.
Mayor Ron Penny says it is important to gauge feedback from the community regularly. “Independent research company; Micromex, will be conducting the survey with 300 randomly selected Forbes residents over the age of 18,” he says.
“Carried out via phone calls, the survey is not limited to rate payers and provides an opportunity for respondents to give valuable feedback on the services Council provides.”
Following the survey, Micromex will report the findings to the February Council Meeting which will subsequently feed into the development of Council’s 2015 planning and budget considerations.
Mayor Penny is urging people to use this survey as an opportunity to provide information about their experiences with Council.
“The results will be used to measure how well Council is executing its Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program and Operational Plan,” he says.
Council is committed to engaging with the community and receiving constructive feedback on what residents think and how they feel about Council’s services.
“We can also use the findings as a benchmark against other Councils across the state and will integrate this into our submission on local government reforms for Fit for the Future,” concluded Mayor Penny.
